"When my Daughter told me that she wanted to study martial arts, I began searching for a school that would match my cynical nature . I am a 26 year Law Enforcement veteran and trust is not something I am comfortable with giving freely. Luckily I found Tiger Society. From the moment we walked in Sensei Bryan and his staff made Madison feel comfortable and at ease. We signed her up that night . The instruction in Shotokan makes me happy because it embraces a traditional setting and blends in real world application. This is important to me because along with the discipline and culture that martial arts provides, the need for self defense in this world is real. The students are encouraged greatly, but belts are earned. The staff is wonderful. I have dropped Madison off and left for awhile. That says a lot for me.
A funny thing happened. I have a love for the martial arts that goes back to my childhood. It’s been a long time since I have studied and then Sensei Bryan introduced me to Combat Kuntao because he felt it would work for me in my job day to day. A former SWAT team member and instructor I thought I had seen, and even, done it all. I was wrong. I immediately fell in love with the art. Combat Kuntao is a no nonsense street level martial art. I am happy to say that at 44 yrs old, I am one of Sensei Bryan's beginning students.
If you are a parent looking for a place with instructors that you can trust, that will teach confidence, defense, and discipline look no further. If you want a Christian environment that your child will flourish in, this is your place. If you’re a cop looking for something different to put in your toolbag . . . trust me this is it.
I thank God every night for leading me here.”
